Dr. Leung specializes in hip and knee arthroplasty which allows patients with disabling arthritis to return to an active lifestyle. He has extensive training in hip replacements from both anterior and posterior approaches, in addition to partial and total knee replacements. He prides himself on providing thorough consultations, listening closely to each patient, and personalizing treatments to their individual needs.
Board Eligible by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Leung completed his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering at Rutgers University and then proceeded to work in the pharmaceutical industry to do research in bone biology where he discovered his passion for orthopedic surgery. He returned to Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School where he received his Medical Degree.
Dr. Leung completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the University of Chicago Medical Center in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation Medicine, then finished his fellowship training in Robotic Hip and Knee Replacement at Holy Cross Hospital. This fellowship allowed Dr. Leung to work with leaders in the field of hip and knee replacements with a strong focus on the use of cutting-edge technology. He is well-versed in the use of robotics and sensors and is committed to staying on the forefront of orthopedic technology in order to improve patient experiences and recoveries.
During his free time, Dr. Leung loves the outdoors and hiking with his family. He also enjoys the challenge of endurance sports and has competed in a number of triathlons and marathons.
